David Ritzman, Berkeley Ward Bishop

I am currently serving as the Bishop of the Berkeley Ward. My wife, Mindi, and I met in the University Ward while we were both engineering students at Cal. We have been members of the Berkeley Ward for nearly 20 years, counting my time in the University Ward. What's more, I've been a member of the Oakland Stake for 26 years. We have 3 children, ages 14, 11, and 6.
Prior to serving as Bishop, I served as the Stake Clerk, a Bishopric Counselor, and Counselor in the YM Presidency. Professionally, I am a Civil Engineer and the Manager of Dam and Hydro Facilities Safety at PG&E.
At the moment, I am particularly fond of D&C 6:32; of which I will be focusing in the Priesthood Leadership Session--the value of councils in drawing new and less active members to Christ, and His Church.

David McBride, Oakland Stake YM President

David McBride serves as the Young Mens President in the Oakland California Stake for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He will speak about ways leaders can help youth develop a love of family history and service in the temple.
In addition to working with the young men in the Oakland Stake, Brother McBride served the youth in Austin, Philadelphia, and on his Mission in Tokyo.
Brother McBride works in San Francisco at IBM as the Director of Product Management, managing customer analytics software. He lives in Lafayette with his wife Janean and their four children. He enjoys sailing, cycling and hiking.
